Yes, on most stock items. If you choose a sofa that's on the floor and ready to go, we can usually deliver the same day across Greater Manchester. Book in the morning and we'll try to get it to you by evening, traffic and routing allowing.
We cover most of the North West, North Wales, Lancashire, Cheshire, and across into Yorkshire. Manchester, Bolton, Wigan, Liverpool, Preston, Blackburn, Stockport, Warrington, Leeds, Sheffield, and most towns in between are regular routes. Further out, ring us with your postcode and we can usually sort it.
Yes. We do old sofa removal on delivery days for £45, or you can part-exchange the old one against your purchase. Tell us what you've got, how many seats, and which floor you're on so we can plan the team properly. We follow local disposal and recycling rules, no fly-tipping.
Measure the sofa width and height, then the narrowest doorway, any hallway turns, and the stairwell head height if you're going up. Door pins can come off if you need a bit more space. Many sofas have removable feet and cushions, and corner sofas often split into sections. Bring your measurements when you visit and we'll double-check before you commit.
Four reasons. We're in a Victorian mill not a retail park, so industrial rent not commercial rent. We don't employ commission salesmen. We don't run finance schemes that bake interest into the sofa price. And we don't spend tens of millions on TV adverts. The sofas are often from the same UK manufacturers the chains use. The shop selling them is what's different.
Clearance means ex-display, cancelled orders, surplus stock, or discontinued lines. Most pieces are new and unused. If there's a small mark or a fabric snag, we point it out before you buy. You see it, you sit on it, you know exactly what you're getting. No hidden surprises.
Most customers pay on delivery, by card, BACS or cash. We don't run consumer finance schemes like the chains, because finance costs get baked into the sofa price and we'd rather keep prices low instead. For higher-ticket orders we can talk through the options when you visit. If you need to spread payments, a bank loan or credit card usually works out cheaper than the chains' built-in finance.
Stock moves fast and we don't take deposits to hold things indefinitely. If you've seen something you like, ring us and we'll usually hold it for a short time while you arrange delivery or come back with measurements. Don't leave it too long though, popular pieces go quickly.
Yes. Three-piece suites are part of our name and we usually have plenty in stock with matching chairs and stools. Because the stock changes weekly, the best move is to visit and try a few sets in person. If you want leather, fabric, or a mix, we'll show you what's in this week.
Good corrected-grain leather is tough, wipes clean, and handles most spills and pet claws better than budget fabrics. High-performance fabrics can be great too if you want a softer feel. If you have pets that shed, leather is easier to keep hair-free. If you want cosy, look at chenille or soft-touch fabric, then use throws and a decent fabric protector for the worst spots.
Leather likes a wipe with a slightly damp cloth and a proper leather cleaner when needed, then a conditioner every few months to keep it from drying out. Keep it away from direct heat and strong sunlight. Fabric needs a gentle vacuum and prompt spot cleaning with a fabric-safe solution. Always test on a hidden area first. Avoid harsh chemicals on either.
Yes. All our sofas carry the permanent UK domestic fire-safety label required by the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire Safety) Regulations 1988. If you want to see the label on a specific sofa before you buy, just ask on the shop floor. For commercial buildings that need Crib 5 contract-rated upholstery (hotels, restaurants, larger care homes), see our commercial supply page.
Yes. Our workshop takes in cleaning, re-upholstery and repair jobs from anywhere, not just sofas we've sold. Trained upholsterers, industrial extraction equipment, free loan sofa while yours is in. Standard deep clean £120 to £150. See our cleaning and repair page.
Recliners have a metal action inside, either manual (you pull a handle) or electric (push-button). They need a bit more space behind and in front when fully open, so check both the open depth and the wall clearance before buying. Standard sofas have fixed frames, are lighter, and easier to move. If you want feet-up comfort every night, go recliner. If you want lighter weight and a tighter fit, go standard.
Yes, plenty in stock. We carry compact two-seat sofa beds up to larger three-seat models. Most open to a small double or a standard double bed. Five mechanism types in stock at any time: click-clack, pull-out metal action, Italian fold-out, corner sofabeds, and chair beds. Check the open depth so it clears your coffee table and walls. See our sofa beds page for the honest mechanism guide.
Family run since 1983, no call centre, no fobbing off. Someone in Bolton will pick up and they'll know what's in the warehouse this week. Opening at 9am tomorrow.
