Silentnight mattresses in stock and ready to deliver

Looking for a Silentnight mattress without the silly lead times or big showroom price tag? You are in the right place. At Alec’s we keep Silentnight mattresses in stock and on the shop floor, ready for you to try and ready to deliver across the North.

Most of our Silentnight range comes from ex display, surplus stock and cancelled orders direct from UK suppliers. That means the same branded mattresses you will see in high street stores, just for up to 70% less. No waiting twelve weeks. No made up sale prices. Just good beds at straight talking prices.

Silentnight mattresses - clearance and ex display ranges

At Alec’s we keep things simple. If a Silentnight mattress is on the shop floor, it is in stock. We do not sell from brochures and we do not promise dates we cannot keep. What you see is what you get, and you can usually have it the same day.

Our Silentnight mattresses come from cancelled orders, showroom clearance and surplus stock from well known UK retailers. Everything is checked over, any small marks are reflected in the price, and you get a proper branded mattress for a lot less than the big shops.

You will find a mix of Silentnight comfort levels and constructions, including pocket sprung mattresses for support, hybrid options that mix springs and foam, and softer pillow top styles if you prefer a bit more sink. If you are not sure what you need, we will talk you through it in plain English.

Delivery is available across the North West, including Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Salford, Preston, Leeds, Blackburn, Wigan, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport and plenty more.

Your Silentnight mattress questions answered

Clearance means we are buying Silentnight mattresses that are surplus to requirement. That includes cancelled orders, overstock and mattresses specified for the hospitality sector that are no longer needed for hotels or contract jobs. You get a proper branded mattress at a fraction of the usual price because we are not buying it in the normal retail way.

Many of the Silentnight mattresses we see are built for the hospitality trade. That means hotel grade specifications, designed to cope with regular use, different body weights and constant turnover of guests. Some will be surplus from hotel refurbishments or cancelled hospitality orders, others are spare stock that never made it into rooms. In short, they are built to work hard and last.

Yes. Silentnight hospitality mattresses are usually tougher than many domestic models. They are designed for daily use in busy hotels, with robust springs, edge support and durable fabrics. If there is any cosmetic mark or small flaw, we will point it out in store and price it accordingly so you know exactly what you are getting.

Most people are surprised how comfortable a good hotel grade mattress is at home. Silentnight hospitality ranges are built to give a supportive, medium to firm feel that suits a wide mix of sleepers. If you like the feel of a decent hotel bed, you will probably get on well with these. Try a few in store and see which comfort level suits you best.

Looked after properly, a Silentnight hospitality mattress should give you years of service. They are built to handle hotel style use, so in a normal home with one or two sleepers they are not working anywhere near as hard. Rotate the mattress as recommended, use a decent mattress protector and avoid jumping on the bed and you will get plenty of life out of it.

You are paying a clearance price for a contract quality product. Because we buy surplus and cancelled stock in volume, and we run a warehouse rather than a glossy showroom, we can sell them for far less than high street retailers. In many cases you are getting a mattress that would cost several hundred pounds more in a hotel contract or full price retail setting.

Yes. We only put mattresses on the floor that pass our checks. Hospitality grade Silentnight mattresses are supplied to meet strict safety and fire regulations. You will see permanent labels on the mattress that show the relevant standards. If you want to check them before you buy, just ask on the shop floor and we will walk you through it.

Yes. They are ideal for main bedrooms, spare rooms and guest spaces. The extra durability makes them a good choice if you have teenagers, guests staying over regularly or you simply want something that will not sag after a couple of years. Just choose the right size for your bed frame and room.

Stock changes all the time, but we usually have a mix of single, small double, double, king and sometimes super king Silentnight mattresses. If you have a specific size in mind, give us a ring before you set off and we will tell you what is in that day.

Yes. We deliver across much of the North and can usually arrange upstairs delivery if we know what access is like. We also offer mattress uplift for a small fee on delivery days. Tell us what size your old mattress is and which floor you are on so we can plan it properly.

If the Silentnight mattress you choose is on the floor and ready to go, we can often deliver the same day across Greater Manchester and many parts of the North West, depending on routes. Visit or call early in the day and we will let you know what we can do.

We are not selling the same way as full price retailers. By buying clearance and surplus hospitality stock, and by keeping our overheads lean, we can pass the saving straight on. You are paying for a mattress that has been built to work hard in hotels, without paying hotel contract prices.
